Training centre

Learn hydroponics on real greenhouses, not on slides.

Hydroponic farming training that happens on real greenhouses, not on slides: theory, practice and a certificate of participation.

What makes the difference

  • Theory
  • Practice
  • Real greenhouses
  • Certificate of participation

Monthly sessions

One session a month, in a small group. Seats are limited to keep real time on the greenhouses with each participant.

Learning hydroponics, for real

You don't become a hydroponic grower by reading a manual. Running a greenhouse is learned through practice, guided by people who do it every day. That's the philosophy of our training centre.

Who the training is for

Our sessions welcome project owners who want to frame their idea before investing, growers looking to build their skills, or simply curious people passionate about technological farming.

No prerequisites are needed: the training starts from the basics and progresses at a pace suited to everyone, in a small group.

What you'll be able to do by the end

The goal is concrete: by the end of the training, you can read and adjust a nutrient solution, manage and prune your plants, and maintain an NFT system. In other words, you're able to run a greenhouse day to day.

For our installer clients, this learning extends into three years of agronomic follow-up, which consolidates autonomy across several crop cycles.

  • Transplanting and pruning the plants.
  • Balancing the nutrient solution (pH, EC).
  • Maintaining the circuit and preventing common problems.

Limited seats, a deliberate choice

We deliberately limit the number of participants per session. It's not a commercial constraint but an educational one: guaranteeing everyone real time on the greenhouses, with their hands in the crop.

What's covered

  • Transplanting and pruning

Transplanting the plants, management and pruning in the NFT system.

  • Balancing the nutrient solution

Reading and adjusting the solution: pH, conductivity, nutrients.

  • System maintenance

Hydraulic circuit, pump and prevention of common problems.

Training in pictures

Hands-on sessions in the field, in the greenhouse and in the classroom, through to the certificates.

  • Training participants surrounded by hydroponic crops in production
  • A group of participants receiving their hydroponics training certificates
  • Training participants with their certificates in front of a greenhouse

Hydroponics training: master your NFT greenhouse

Every turnkey greenhouse delivered by La Ferme Urbaine comes with hands-on hydroponics training. The goal is simple: to make you fully autonomous with your NFT system, from commissioning through to harvest. You are never left alone in the face of the first challenges, because passing on the know-how is an integral part of our offer.

Who the training is for

Whether you are a new grower, an investor looking for a profitable farming project, or the manager of a farm team, this training is designed for you. It assumes no prior experience with soilless cultivation.

We adapt the pace and the vocabulary to your profile. A project owner discovers the fundamentals, while an already agricultural team goes deeper into the specifics of NFT technology.

This flexibility ensures that every participant leaves with clear reference points, directly applicable to their own installation.

What you actually learn

The training covers every action that drives the success of a hydroponic crop. Each skill is first addressed in theory, then put into practice directly on your own installation.

Basil, our flagship crop, serves as the common thread. You learn to grow it through to a compliant product, with a guaranteed buyback at 8 DT/kg that gives concrete meaning to every step.

  • Operating the NFT system and circulating the solution
  • Preparing and managing the nutrient solution
  • Daily monitoring: pH, conductivity and levels
  • Plant health and disease prevention
  • Conducting the harvest and preparing for sale

A practical format: on site, then monthly follow-up

The first training session takes place on site, on the day your greenhouse is handed over. You handle your own equipment, in your real conditions, guided by our agronomists.

In the following month, regular follow-up sessions take over. They let you consolidate what you have learned, ask your questions and fine-tune your crop management over the first cycles.

This gradual pace respects the time it takes to learn: you build up your skills cycle after cycle, without being overwhelmed with information on day one.

Three years of support to secure your harvests

Beyond the initial training, a service contract provides three years of agronomic support. This is the period during which a farm finds its rhythm and gains in consistency.

This support de-risks your first harvests. Facing a technical doubt or an unexpected event, you have an agronomist contact who knows your installation and its history.

You are not simply buying a greenhouse: you are trained, followed and supported until you become an autonomous, confident grower over the long term.

Know-how that becomes your own

At the end of this journey, the aim is not to make you dependent on us, but to pass on a genuine trade. You understand the why behind every action, and not only the how.

This autonomy is your greatest asset: it lets you react quickly, maintain steady production and approach every new growing season with confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need prior knowledge of farming?

No. The training starts from the basics and alternates theory and practice on real greenhouses, so everyone progresses at their own pace.

Is the training in a classroom or in the field?

Both: a theory part, then practice directly on our greenhouses. You don't learn hydroponics on slides.

Do you receive a certificate?

Yes, a certificate of participation is given at the end of the session.

What topics does the training cover?

Transplanting and pruning the plants, balancing the nutrient solution (pH, EC) and maintaining the NFT system.

How often do the sessions take place?

Sessions are monthly, in a small group, with limited seats to guarantee real time on the greenhouses.

Is the training reserved for clients?

No: it's for anyone who wants to learn hydroponics. Our installer clients also benefit from three years of follow-up.

Where does the training take place?

On our real greenhouses, for concrete learning. Our showroom is at Lac 2, Tunis.

How long does it take to become autonomous?

It depends on each person. The initial training lays the foundations; the monthly follow-up consolidates autonomy across several crop cycles.

Can I train before buying a greenhouse?

Yes. Training is often the best first step to frame a project before investing.
