The founder
La Ferme Urbaine grew out of its founder's journey, from the oil sector to hydroponics.
A company born of a conviction
La Ferme Urbaine didn't start from a business plan, but from a conviction: that cleaner, more water-frugal and more regular farming is possible in Tunisia, provided the technique is mastered and passed on.
Field-tested, not just ideas
Our approach was built on real experimentation, not on theory. Every figure we publish, every crop we document, comes from our own greenhouses. It's this demand for proof that guides everything we do.
This culture of the concrete runs through our training, delivered on real greenhouses, and through our refusal to promise yields we haven't verified.
Three trades, one same logic
Turnkey greenhouses, training and consulting aren't three separate activities: they're three ways of supporting one and the same journey, from idea to production. You can train before investing, get support to frame a project, then install a greenhouse and be followed for three years.
This continuum is our difference: a single point of contact, from the first exchange all the way to harvest, and well beyond.
An ambition of continuous innovation
Hydroponics evolves, and so do we. Developing an NFT system powered by solar energy illustrates this drive to keep moving towards more autonomous and more economical production. It's not an endpoint, but a step.
About La Ferme Urbaine: turnkey hydroponics in Tunisia
La Ferme Urbaine is a Tunisian company dedicated to modern hydroponic farming. Based in Tunis, it guides growers, investors and project leaders towards a water-efficient and sustainably profitable way of cultivating. Our model rests on one conviction: a greenhouse alone is not enough — it must be paired with training and consulting for a project to truly succeed.
Our mission
Our mission is to make hydroponics accessible and profitable for Tunisian farmers. We want to remove the technical and financial hurdles that too often hold back the adoption of this promising technology.
To do so, we do not simply sell equipment: we deliver a complete solution, designed to produce from the very first season and to last over time.
This demand for concrete results guides our daily work and informs each of our recommendations. We always prefer a solid, lasting project to a quick sale.
An integrated model: greenhouse, training and consulting
La Ferme Urbaine is built around three complementary pillars. Together, they form a coherent journey, from the first project idea to regular, well-managed production.
This integration is our hallmark. It avoids scattering the work across several providers and guarantees you a single point of contact, accountable from end to end.
This integrated model saves you valuable time and secures your project at every step, from initial sizing to the sale of your harvests.
- NFT hydroponic greenhouses delivered turnkey
- Practical training to make you self-reliant
- Agronomic consulting to secure your decisions
- A three-year agronomic follow-up after delivery
Tunisian roots, in Tunis
Established in Tunis, at Lac 2, La Ferme Urbaine is deeply rooted in its territory. We know the realities of the Tunisian climate, water and market, and we design our solutions accordingly.
This local grounding is no small detail: it allows us to stay close to you, responsive and relevant in our recommendations as much as in our support.
Being a Tunisian company is not just an address: it is a way of understanding our farmers' challenges and responding to them accurately.
Our values: profitability and sustainability
Two values guide each of our decisions: the grower's profitability and the sustainability of production. One without the other would make no sense.
We believe that responsible, water-efficient farming can also be prosperous farming. Basil, our flagship crop, illustrates this, with a guaranteed buyback at 8 DT/kg that offers a clear outlet.
Support schemes such as the AIPIA subsidy, which can reach 55%, further strengthen the economic soundness of your project.
